Why does this exist?

As many of you might know, I used to have a blog, Small Walking Mannequin, (previously Le Blog d'Imogen). It was first created to share my outfits and prove the world that I had hella swag! But with the years it became less and less about the clothing and more about my life and opinions. Around then I realized the blog wasn't filling it's original purpose. It wasn't my project anymore. Therefore, I stopped blogging.

After a few months, I realized I actually missed blogging and that it was a great source of inspiration, but I couldn't go back to my old blog. I'd just be a tease for leaving and coming back. That is why I am making a new comeback on a new blog. I'm starting a new project! Yup! It's the best excuse I found. I hope you don't mind,

Why SuperGirl?

So my parents are Buddhist, and when I was a kid they went to hear a talk by a Tibetan lama (no, not a llama, a Lama). While he was talking I kept being noisy, running around and talking. After a bit, he made me come up to him, he looked at me and said: "You are a SuperGirl". I don't really remember the context in which he said it, because, honestly, I don't remember any of this happening. This anecdote is one of those stories your parents tell you and you trust them to be true. For all I know they might of told me this story to make me feel like a cool person. Even if it were the case, I always associated myself to that name. My dad even started calling me like that sometimes.

I always liked the name. Not only do I think it's awesome that I have a superhero name, but it's a good reminder that I can go through anything. I am a SuperGirl. Strong. Smart. Resourceful.

What is this all about? 

I've considered myself in a period of self-exploration for a while now (that sounds so phony!) and I thought it would be a good idea to explore life by sharing my thoughts about things. (That isn't very clear, is it?)

Each month I'll find a different theme that I will explore through writing, pictures and videos. I will try using a vast amount of ways of digging through a subject each months in the hopes of getting to know who the hell I am.
